GERMAINE ARNAKTAUYOK
       Born:  September 26, 1946       Female       E5-472
       Resides:  Igloolik; also lived in Yellowknife
       Drawings, Paintings
       Germaine's father, Isidore Iytok, and mother, Therese Natsiq Tulugatjuk, are  
       carvers. She studied fine arts at the University of Manitoba, and has had     
       great success as an illustrator for many years.

       1970     Illustrated "Harpoon of the Hunter", a book published by the Dept. of Indian
                Affairs and Northern Development.
       1973     Germaine was commissioned by El Al to make illustrations for promotional
                posters for the Israeli airline.
       1976     Glasses featuring original drawings by Arnatauyok were produced by Dominion
                Glass Ltd.
       1977     Designed cover and illustrated "Inuit Legends" for the Dept. of Education in
                Yellowknife, N.W.T.
       1991     Illustrated a children's book entitled "Who's Going to Eat Me?"
       1995     Commissioned print used for the poster of 'Iliqqusivut Inuit Spirit of the
                Arctic', at the Canadian National Exhibition.
