1957 Participated in an experimental graphic workshop in Cape Dorset in 1957 and
1958 (unpublished).
1958 Represented Cape Dorset on a good-will tour to Greenland.
1960 Imperial Oil Commission, Toronto. Kananginak was one of five artists
commissioned by Imperial Oil to produce a special folio of prints.
1961 Unicef Commission. Kananginak was one of five artists commissioned to create
works to be used as designs for Unicef Christmas cards.
1965 Chosen to represent Cape Dorset artists at the exhibition of prints and
sculpture at Stratford, Ontario.
1976 The artist's print 'Loon and Raven' was commissioned by Les Amis de la
Gravure, Montreal.
1976 United Nations Conference 'Habitat folio' Commission. Kaninginak was one of
four Cape Dorset artists commissioned to produce a collection of prints for
the Habitat Conference (United Nations); the prints appear in the Cape Dorset
Graphic annual catalogue of 1981.
1977 Commissioned to make four limited edition prints for the World
Wildlife portfolio; also included in the Cape Dorset Graphic annual cataloge
of 1978. Attended the preview of the portfolio at the Art Gallery of Ontario
in Toronto.
1977 'Inuit World' Collection; published in a boxed edition by Kingait Press.
1978 Attended the printmakers' conference in Ottawa, Ontario.
1978 Skate Canada, World's '78. The artist produced a print entitled 'Nanuk' in
1977, it was released in in 1978 for the Skate Competition held in Ottawa,
Ontario; and it is also documented in the Cape Dorset Graphic annual catalogue
of 1981.
1979 Commissioned by the National Museums to make two etchings for
inclusion in their 1979 gift catalogue. Entitled 'Sitgarriat I' and
'Sitgarriat II', released in 1979, and documented in the Cape Dorset Graphic
annual catalogue for 1981.
1979 Kananginak was commissioned by the Group of 100 (St. Lambert, Que.) to produce
a lithographic print entitled 'Caribou Resting' also included in the Cape

1980 'Etching Portfolio I'. Kananginak was one of six artists who assembled a
special portfolio of prints which is documented in the Cape Dorset Graphic
annual catalogue.
1982 'Etchings Portfolio IV'. The artist produced a special folio of prints which
appears in the Cape Dorset Graphic annual catalogue of 1982.
1982 'Etchings Portfolio V: Timiat'. The artist was one of three artists who
contributed to a special folio of work, documented in the Cape Dorset Graphic
annual catalogue of 1982.
1983 The artist's print 'Sitjarriat at Nest' was printed in 1979, and released by
the Westdale Gallery, Hamilton in 1982. The work is documented in the Cape
Dorset Graphic annual catalogue of 1983.
1986 Norgraphics Limited. Kananginak was one of several artists whose work was
acquired and released by Norgraphics Limited between 1976 and 1984. The works
that were selected are documented in the Cape Dorset Graphic annual catalogues
of 1986 and 1987.
1988 Attended the opening of the solo exhibition 'Kananginak' in February, which
was held at The Guild Shop.
1988 Norgraphics Commission, Toronto.
1988 Guild of Crafts Commission, Toronto. The artist's 'Tuulliaraq/ Young Loon' was
commissioned by the Guild of Crafts in 1988.
1989 Attended the opening of the exhibition 'Cape Dorset Printmaking 1959-1989'
held at the McMichael Canadian Collection.
1992 Kananginak participated as a speaker and panelist at the Inuit Art Conference
held at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in January.
