Anirnik is the wife of sculptor and graphic artist Kuppapik Ragee, but
herself came from a family of artists. Her parents were the late Jamasie and
Angotigolu Teevee of Cape Dorset, who were both involved in the media of
drawing, printmaking, sculpting. Her sisters Parnee Peter and Nicotai
Simigak, and her adopted brother Simeonie Teevee are Cape Dorset sculptors.
Anirnik drew for only a brief period, while she still lived in the camps
in the Dorset area. While still living in the camps, she became involved in
the sewing project started by Alma Houston in the late 1950s. By the early
1960s, she and her family had settled permanently in Cape Dorset.
