This drum dancer is shown beating his drum and swaying in rhythmic dance. Traditionally a hunter would compose his song and teach it to his wife who would sing the words, accompanied by other family members or village people, while the drummer kept the beat on his bone and skin drum. This figure shows lyric movement in his polished body and clothing, the wood and bone instruments compliment him nicely, evoking the music he is playing.
