WAYNE SKY
Born: August 28, 1949
Place of Birth: Six Nations of the Grand River, Ontario.
Wayne’s given name is SIN-HAS which means tall forest. He is a member of the Wolf Clan of the Cayuga Nation.
An iron worker by trade, Wayne is self taught and began carving medicine masks as a hobby at age 13. In 1980 he began working full time as an artist. He carves primarily in stone and bone.
In 1984 Wayne won 1st prize at the Pasedena Art Show, Pasedena California.
