Baffin Island is the largest island in Canada.
It is located southwest of Greenland and includes perhaps the most famous carving community in Nunavut – Cape Dorset. Well known neighbouring communities are Iqaluit, Lake Harbour and Pangnirtung.
Iqaluit [ formerly Frobisher Bay ] is the capital of Nunavut. A growing government centre also know for it’s arts community.
