Traveler Under Arctic Sky

Artist Statement “I made this with an Inuk, a seal, land and an igloo, just out of my imagination. One of the man’s legs is supposed to be behind the igloo, so we don’t see it. The sky can appear to us in any colour. My pencils give a fair idea of the sky, but I wonder what real paints would do. Recently, when I was south to open a show of my drawings in Toronto, I was asked whether I used some specialized printing techniques. I said we had nothing out of the ordinary. My favorite colours are black and pure colours that hold their own when I overlay them.
