Description

An old lady lived by a river. In the summer there were plenty of berries and roots. Some boys saw her and when they got home they told other men about her. A group of them got together to look for her. When they found her they fought over her and beat her up. When the men had left she crawled to the river. She knew she was going to die. “People don’t like me she said”, “when I die, I will turn into a plant so that people will like me”. Winter came and went. When people came to the river they would pick the leaves, roll, and smoke them. They liked the plant.
