Descripción: "Maybe it’s because I really like children that I draw them so much. If my body wasn’t so old I’d still be willing to adopt, especially a little girl. When I was young we lived on the land, and it was good to be outside. In springtime we were always camping. I was happiest at Ilutalik, gathering eideer duck eggs. We’d return to camp to sleep, and wake again the same day. That was fun too. We’d go seal hunting by dogteam, sell the skins to Pangnirtung, then go caribou hunting, and I miss that. Winter was the only time to stay in camp. I’m not fully an artist, but I can draw these things from my memories. We live a life today that we never knew as teenagers. In camp we rested at night. At times we’d stay up, but today’s teenagers never seem to stop moving, day or night. I was unsure how these drawings would turn out, but they’ll do. I keep on tryuing my hardest. Tommy drew different types of animals and that’s what I try to do. I still think about him a lot. Tommy was really attached to me. Even though I’m like this he always looked after me. I’m old, and I live one day at a time”.
